Media Services

A Media Service represents a streaming service that is provisioned for a Customer.

Audio Services will start a new instance of the binary (Shoutcast, Icecast, AutoDJ) and Video Services will utilise APIs and filesystem configuration files to deploy “applications” within the Video Streaming Engine.

Actions of Start, Stop, Restart and Delete and processed in the background through our internal queue system. The completed action will be reported back to the interface. If there is a problem controlling a media service then you should restart the “mediacp” system service.

Changing Ownership

It is not currently possible to transfer ownership of a Media Service to another Customer account.
