A Reseller can create a new Media Service for either their primary account, or a Customer. Media Services created for the primary account are displayed under the “My Services” side menu where Media Services for Customer accounts are displayed in the “Media Services” side menu instead.
Actions of Start, Stop, Restart and Delete and processed in the background through our internal queue system. The completed action will be reported back to the interface. If there is a problem controlling a media service then you should restart the “mediacp” system service.

A Reseller can create Media Services from either the Resellers Dashboard or the Customers page.
- There is a button on the Resellers Dashboard labelled “+ Media Service”;
- There is a “Create a new server” button on the Media Services listing pagein the top right of the page ;
- There is a “Create Service” button on the Customer Overview page
The creation interface is different from the normal media service configuration screen and presents a “Quick Wizard” guide with the critical base options for a new service.
Select Customer
The first step is to select the Customer account that you wish to create the service for (including your own). The list is presented in an ascending (a-z) alphabetical order and identifies whether a Customer is a “Reseller Subaccount, or the “Reseller” account itself.
Media Service Type
Your provider will have specified the Media Service Types that you are allowed to provision. You can view a full comparison on our Streaming Servers page.
The “Use selected media as default in the future.” check box allows you to save the selection to ensure it is selected by default when you create the next Media Service.
Service Configurations
A reseller will see current usages and available resources that can be used on the General Configuration which will look similar to the above.
For a detailed guide on what each field is please refer to the Administrators Guide on Service Configurations.
