If you are running into issues with your ClientExec integration the first thig to check is the connection using the API test utility.
The most common reason for issues with ClientExec is that your ClientExec server is unable to communicate with the MediaCP due to the outgoing port 2020 being blocked from your ClientExec server.
We recommend you follow the below steps:
- Check MediaCP is up to date with most recent version to ensure compatibility.
- Check the ClientExec server Hostname, Port & SSL Mode exactly matches with your MediaCP installation
- Check OUTBOUND firewall port 2020 is on the Clientexec server, or contact your hosting provider to complete this.
- Test the MediaCP API connection using our online testing utility. If the API test is successful then the issue is with your ClientExec server firewall. If the API test is not successful, then please contact us with the output information for further troubleshooting.
If your connection is fine but you are running into any other issues, our ClientExec integration is still in early beta and we are welcoming bug reports and feedback to our support helpdesk. Clientexec has a built in log system that can be very useful for us to look into the issue further. You will need to edit config.php and enable logging. The "LOG_LEVEL" line likely already exists so we recommend editing the line to avoid conflicts.
define('LOG_LEVEL', 4);
define('LOG_TEXTFILE', '/home/user/logs/ce.log');
Once you have logging enabled, please contact our helpdesk and provide us with the logs so we can try to resolve the issue.
